No new cases of equine flu have been confirmed following tests of hundreds of horses, the British Horseracing Authority says.
But the BHA says there are many more tests to be carried out and has warned against complacency.
All race meetings have been cancelled in Britain until Wednesday – at the earliest – after six cases of the virus emerged towards the end of the week.
“Our focus remains on containing the virus,” said the BHA’s David Sykes.
The organisation’s Director of Equine Health and Welfare added: “I would advise against anyone drawing any conclusions or making any predictions based on this set of results.”
